PROBLEM | CAUSE |

Cooking results are | • The range is not level. (See Installation Instructions.) |
not what you expected | • The oven temperature seems too low or too high. See |
| the “Adjusting the oven temperature control” section on |
| page 20 to adjust the oven temperature. |
| • You did not preheat the oven before baking (if called for |
| in recipe). |
| • You are using a pan that is not the correct type or size. |
| Refer to a reliable cookbook or recipe for recommended |
| pan type and size. |
| • There is not enough air space around pan when baking. |
| Allow 11⁄2 to 2 inches of air space on all sides of pan. |
| • The cookware is too large or too small for the surface |
| cooking area being used. The pan should be the same |
| size or slightly larger than the surface cooking area |
| being used. |

The display is showing | • There has been a power failure. Reset the clock. (See the |
“PF” | “Setting the clock” section on page 15.) |
|
|
“F” followed by a | • Press the Off/Cancel pad. If the code reappears, note the |
number shows on the | code and call for service. (See Step 2 in the “Requesting |
display | Assistance or Service” section on page 52.) |
