SCSI connection and E-IDE (ATAPI) connection

The CRW2200 drive enables you to set either a SCSI connection or an E-IDE (ATAPI) connection.

You can use the CRW2200 drive as a SCSI device by attaching the SCSI convertor to the rear of the drive, you can also use the CRW2200 drive as an E-IDE device by detaching the SCSI convertor.

Choose the connection method that applies to your computer environment.

For SCSI Connection

Attach the SCSI convertor to the CRW2200 drive.

In this manual, the drive plus the convertor is called the “ CRW2200S.”

•The included SCSI convertor is for the CRW2200 drive only. Do not use it with any other device. YAMAHA and its suppliers do not guarantee operation if it is used with any other device.
