About DMA

DMA (Direct Memory Access) is a method that transfers data between various peripheral devices (e.g., a hard drive, CD-R/RW drive, etc.) and the computer’s memory without using the CPU. By checking the “DMA” check box, the transmission speed of data will become high-speed. Furthermore, by decreasing the CPU load, the processing speed of the computer systems is increased.
