You can use the automatic preset tuning feature to store up

seconds.

The preset station number as well as the MEMORY

to 40 FM stations with strong signals (A1 to E8: 8 preset

When automatic preset tuning is completed, the front panel display shows the frequency of the last preset station.

You can specify the preset number from which this unit stores FM stations. Press A/B/C/D/E and then PRESET/ TUNING l / h repeatedly after you perform step 3 to select the preset station number under which the first station will be stored.

You can begin tuning toward lower frequencies to store FM stations automatically. Press PRESET/TUNING so that the colon (:) disappears from the front panel display and then press PRESET/TUNING l after pressing and holding MEMORY for more than 3 seconds.

Notes

Any stored station data existing under a preset station number is cleared when you store a new station under the same preset station number.

If the number of received stations does not reach 40 (E8), automatic preset tuning automatically stops after searching for all the available stations.

Only FM stations with sufficient signal strength are stored automatically by automatic preset tuning. If the station you want to store is weak in signal strength, tune into it manually and store it as described in “Manual preset tuning” on page 60.

Only Radio Data System broadcasting stations are stored automatically by automatic preset tuning (U.K. and Europe models only).
