Use this feature to set the maximum volume level in the main zone. This feature is useful to avoid the unexpected laud sound by mistake. For example, the original volume range is 16.5 dB to –80.0 dB. However, when “Max Volume” is set to –5.0 dB, the volume range becomes –5.0 dB to –80.0 dB.

Select “Full” to completely mute all the audio output.

Select “–20 dB” to reduce the current volume by 20 dB.

When a test tone is output, the “Max Volume” setting is automatically deactivated because the volume level is automatically set to 0 dB regardless of the current “Max Volume” setting.

The “Max Volume” setting takes priority over the “Initial Volume” setting (see page 91). For example, “Initial Volume” is set to –20.0 dB and then “Max Volume” is set to –30.0 dB, the volume level is automatically set to –30.0 dB when you turn on the power of this unit next time.
