Pressing these two keys at the same time, while turning the power ON, temporarily resets the printer configuration to the factory default values. These values remain active until power is turned OFF. Whenever the

printer is reset to factory defaults, a media calibration procedure must

be performed immediately. See page 43 for details.

02'(￿.H\￿6HOI￿7HVW

This test places the printer in the communications diagnostics mode. In this mode, the printer prints the ASCII characters and their corresponding hexadecimal values for any data received from the host computer. A typical printout from this test is shown in Figure 15.

Note: This label is inverted when printed.

This test prints a maximum of 500 head test labels. Each label backfeeds prior to printing and feeds forward to the rest position after printing. A serialized number prints on each label. Press the PAUSE key or turn the printer power OFF to stop printing. The labels look like the one in Figure 13 except that a serialized number prints on each label.
