Table 10-2 Configure STP Parameter

FIELD	DESCRIPTION	EXAMPLE

MAX Age	A time interval (in seconds) a root bridge waits without	20
	receiving a STP configuration message before initiating a
	topology change.
	Specify a number between 6 and 40.

Hello Time	The number of seconds the switch waits between STP	2
	configuration message transmissions.
	Specify a number between 1 and 10.

Forward-	The number of seconds the switch waits before changing from	15
Delay Time	its STP learning/listening state to forwarding state.
	Specify a number between 4 and 30.

10.4 Viewing Root Bridge Information

View the STP root bridge information in the Spanning Tree screen. These fields display the spanning tree parameter settings for the switch currently acting as the root.

DESCRIPTION

This field displays the priority (between 1 and 65535) of the root bridge in a

Priority spanning tree. A higher value indicates a lower priority; thus 0 means the highest priority.

MAC Address This field displays the MAC address of the root bridge.
