Troubleshooting via the System Status Menu
Missed Slots: Occurs when the SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway does not have sufficient time to process audio. This number should always be 0 or 1.
Buffer Overflow: Number of times Ethernet controller received more packets than it had buffers to store them. Indicates extreme traffic.
Telephone Line Status
Each SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway associates handsets with lines from the host telephone system (PBX) as configured in the system setup. Operational information about each handset connection is provided through the Telephone Line Status screen. This information corresponds with the configuration information set up from Telephone Line Configuration option on the NetLink Wireless Telephone System menu.
When the SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway needs to be maintained, current call activity can be checked on this screen to determine the level of service interruption a shut down will involve.
From the System Status Menu, select Telephone Line Status. The SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway supports up to 16 lines.
