System Config

Set up the TA 544 operational configuration from the SYSTEM CONFIG menu. Figure 4 shows the items included in this menu.

> Operating Mode

The operating mode is set automatically.

> Network Timing Mode

Selects the timing source for the entire system. The timing options available are listed below.

Network

The clock is recovered from the network (WAN interface).

Internal

The clock is generated internally by the TA 544.

> Telnet Access

Sets Telnet access to ON or OFF.

> Telnet User List

Up to four users can be configured for access to the TA 544. Each user can be assigned a security level and time out.

Name

A text string of the user name for this session.

Authen Method

The user can be authenticated in two ways:

The PASSWORD field is used to authenticate the user.

The RADIUS client is used for authenticating the user.
