After a power failure during manual, timer, or alarm recording, the VCR turns itself on when the power is restored and begins recording in the same mode as before the failure.

When power is restored, an “X” appears next to the present time on the screen for about a minute. The fluorescent display shows the power loss indicator (PL).

If there is a power failure during playback, the VCR will be in stop mode when power is restored.

Refer to the Power Loss List section for more information on viewing and clearing the list.
