PLAYBACK MODE

Pressing the REC/PLAY MODE button switches playback mode for the T-120 setting in the following order: 6H, L18H, L30H, 48H, 72H, 96H, 120H, 168H, 0H, 6H (for a tape recorded in longer than 6H mode). For the T-160 setting, the order is: 8H, L24H, L40H, 64H, 96H, 128H, 160H, 224, 0H, 8H (for a tape recorded in longer than 8H mode).

A tape recorded in SP mode using another VCR can only be played back in 2H mode.

Picture jitter or noise may occur when the tape is played back in L18H, L24H, L30H, or L40H mode (even if the tape was recorded in that mode).

AUDIO PLAYBACK

There is normal sound playback only when a tape recorded in 6H, 8H, L18H, L24H, L30H, or L40H mode is played back in its respective mode.

END OF TAPE

When the end of the tape is reached, the following functions are performed automatically during playback or fast forwarding.

SPECIAL EFFECTS PLAYBACK

The VCR features the following convenient functions. Audio output is muted during special effects playback.

STILL PICTURE

Press PAUSE during playback. (A few noise bars or vertical movement may appear during still playback.) Press again to resume playback.

FRAME-BY-FRAME PLAYBACK

You can use the JOG dial to advance the tape frame by frame or field by field.

1.Press PAUSE to freeze the picture while the VCR is playing the tape.

2.Turn the JOG dial right to forward the tape or left to reverse it. To get continuous movement, keep rotating the JOG dial.

3.To freeze the picture again, release the dial.

4.Press PLAY to resume normal playback.

Noise bars or vertical movement may appear during frame-by-frame playback. Noise bars may appear when switching between forward and reverse playback.
