SYNCHRONOUS RECORDING

Several camera images can be mixed together through a camera switcher and then recorded separately onto several VCRs. To do so, assign a camera to each VCR. The VCR records only the camera assigned to it. This allows recording without gaps.

If you have three VCRs, the video signal from three cameras can be recorded separately by connecting the switcher as shown in Figure 6 and Figure 22.

The recording mode must be set to L18H, L24H, L30H, or L40H. Table A shows the suitable numbers of VCRs and cameras.

The programming procedure is as follows;

1.Press the MENU button. The Main menu appears.

2.Turn the JOG dial to select REAR TERMINAL, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right. The Rear Terminal menu appears.

3.Turn the JOG dial to select REC IN, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.

4.(Perform steps 4-7 on VCR1 only.) Do one of the following:

Turn the JOG dial to select SERIES or REC START/STOP, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.

If the recording start signal is available on the switcher, select SYNC REC.

5.Turn the JOG dial to select CLOCK OUT, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.

6.Turn the JOG dial to select T/L-REC, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.

7.Turn the JOG dial to select F, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.

8.(Perform step 8 on all VCRs, except VCR1.) Turn the JOG dial to select SYNC REC, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.

9.Press the MENU button. The day and time display appears on screen.
