Refer to the Programming for Alarm Recording section for programming instructions for the following fields.

ALARM REC MODE

Sets the alarm recording mode.

 

If TAPE LENGTH in the First Time Set Up menu is set

 

 

to T-120, the display switches in the following order

 

 

when you turn the JOG dial: 6H, L18H, L30H, 6H.

 

If set to T-160, the display switches in the following

 

 

order: 8H, L24H, L40H, 8H.

ALARM REC DURATION

Sets the length of the alarm recording period. When you turn

 

the JOG dial, the displays switches in the following order: 1M

 

(minute), 2M, 5M, 10M, MAN1, MAN2, 15S (second), 30S,

 

45S, 1M.

EMERGENCY REC

Sets the emergency recording mode, as follows:

 

ON – Starts alarm recording when the alarm signal is

 

 

received (ALM IN terminal grounded), not only during

 

 

recording but also when the power is off, when the tape

 

 

is stopped, or when the VCR is in standby mode for

 

 

timer recording.

 

OFF – Starts alarm recording when the alarm signal is

 

 

received (ALM IN terminal grounded) during recording.

CLOG DETECT

Sets clog detection mode, as follows:

 

ON – The VCR automatically removes particles that

 

 

may accumulate on the heads during recording at

 

 

modes 102H through 224H (except for 128H) or 0H. If

 

 

they cannot be entirely removed, the warning “CLog”

 

 

flashes on the fluorescent display.

 

OFF – The VCR does not detect a clogged head.

SUPER RESOLUTION

Sets super resolution mode, as follows:

 

ON – Recording and playback happen at over 400 lines

 

 

of resolution.

 

OFF – Recording and playback happen at VHS mode.

ONE SHOT•FIELD

Sets the number of recorded fields in one-shot recording

 

mode. When you turn the JOG dial, the display switches in

 

the following order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 30, 1.

ONE SHOT•INTERVAL

Sets the time interval in one-shot recording mode. When you

 

turn the JOG dial, the display switches in the following order:

 

SHOT, 10S (second), 15S, 30S, 45S, 1M (minute), 2M, 3M,

 

SHOT.
