INSTALLING THE CM9760-MDA SETUP PROGRAM

The following procedure provides instructions to install the CM9760-MDA Setup program on a PC that meets or exceeds minimum system requirements (see System Requirements above). (For information about connecting the PC to the CM9760-MDA, see Connecting the MDA to an External PC earlier in this manual.)

To install the CM9760-MDA Setup program, do the following:

1.Start Microsoft Windows. If Microsoft Windows is already running, close any applica- tion programs that may be running.

2.Insert the CM9760-MDA Resource CD into the CD-ROM drive.

The CD automatically starts and the CM9760-MDA Setup dialog box appears.

3.Click CM9760-MDA Software. The Welcome dialog box appears.

4.Click OK.

The CM9760-MDA Setup software installation dialog box appears.

5.Begin CM9760-MDA Setup software installation by doing one of the following:

¥Install CM9760-MDA Setup software into the default destination directory by clicking the button indicated in the on-screen instructions. The default installation directory is as follows:

C:\Program Files\CM9760-MDA Setup\

¥If necessary, change the installation destination directory by clicking Change Directory:

a.Enter or select the destination directory and then click OK.

The CM9760-MDA Setup software installation dialog box reappears.

b.Click the button indicated in the on-screen instructions to install the CM9760-MDA Setup software.

The CM9760-MDA Setup Ð Choose Program Group dialog box appears.

6.Do one of the following:

¥Accept the default program group name, CM9760-MDA SETUP, by clicking Continue.

¥Enter a new program group name or select a name from the Existing Groups list, and then click Continue.

A message appears indicating that the CM9760-MDA Setup program was installed successfully.

7.Click OK.
