SpectraLink 8002 Wireless Telephones Configuration and Administration (SIP)

WMM must be enabled when configuring access points for the SpectraLink 8002 Wireless Telephones. The handset will not work properly if WMM is not enabled.

Refer to the access point manufacturer’s directions for instructions on enabling WMM.

Visit the Wi-Fi Alliance website www.wi-fi.org to search for APs that support WMM.

Security Options

The SpectraLink 8002 Wireless Telephone supports Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) as defined by the 802.11 specification. Polycom offers the product with both 40-bit and 128-bit encryption.

SpectraLink 8002 Wireless Telephones also support the 802.11i protocol including Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA™ and WPA2™)— PSK.
