Answering system operation

Message playback

To play back messages

If you have new messages, the system plays only

the new messages (oldest first). If there are no

new messages, the system plays all the messages

(oldest first).

1. Press PLAY/STOP to begin message playback.

2. Press PLAY/STOP to end message playback.

You have no messages.

Information about messages

Before each message, the answering system announces the day and time (day/time stamp) it was received. The message window displays the message number currently playing.

After the last message, the answering system announces, “End of messages.

NOTE: If the date and time are not set (see Set date and time on page 18), SET CLOCK flashes on the screen and the answering system announces ”Time not set” before each message.

Options during message playback

To adjust the playback volume to a comfortable level, slide the VOL switch.

To skip to the next message, press

SKIP/ANNC after the telephone plays the day and time the current message was received.

To go back to the previous message, press

REPEAT/MEMO while the telephone is playing the day and time the current message was received.

To repeat the message currently playing, press REPEAT/MEMO after the telephone plays the day and time the current message was received.

To delete the message currently playing, press

DELETE.

To stop playback and exit, press PLAY/STOP.
