•Your telephone probably shares its telephone lines with other extensions. Each telephone line button has LEDs (lights) to show the line status (in use, on hold, or ringing). To have an accurate line status indication, all units MUST have their Line 1 jacks connected to the same telephone line (i.e. L1), Line 2 jacks connected to the same telephone line (L2), and Line 3 jacks connected accordingly to (L3).
•System telephones have their own private telephone numbers, or several extensions can share the same number, and be part of a line group.
