To align the fan and motor pulleys: 1. Loosen the fan pulley setscrews.

2. Slide the fan pulley along the fan shaft.

3. Make angular alignment by loosening the motor from the mounting plate.

To adjust belt tension:

1. Loosen the fan motor mounting nuts.

2. Sizes 008 and 009 — Slide the motor mounting plate away from the fan scroll for proper belt tension (1/2-in. deflection with 5 to 10 lb of force) and tighten the mount- ing nuts (see Fig. 38).

Size 012 — Slide the motor mounting plate downward to tighten belt tension (1/2-in. deflection with 5 to 10 lb of force). Secure the motor mounting plate nuts. See Fig. 39.

3. Adjust the bolt and nut on the mounting plate to secure the motor in fixed position.
