Connect each PDU to a dedicated (unshared) branch circuit that is rated for the continuous measured load of all the equipment connected to it. The total power load for a PDU should not exceed 80 percent of the branch circuit rating. If a PDU is not used, connect each piece of equipment within the rack to a dedicated branch circuit.

All branch circuits used within a facility must be connected together to form a common ground. All power sources such as transformers, UPS devices, and other sources, must be connected together to form a common ground.

NOTE: When wiring a 3-phase enclosure, phase rotation is unimportant. However, the rotation must be consistent for both plugs.
