How to add refrigerant

R-410 is a mixed type of refrigerant. It is required for recharging under condition of liquid with the cylinder upright.

Measure the quantity of refrigerant depending on the length of the liquid side pipe. Then, add fixed quantity of refrigerant by using a scale.

When the pipe length exceeds the standard length of 5 m, charge refrigerant according to the increased length. Measure the quantity of refrigerant depending on the length of the liquid side pipe. Then, add fixed quantity of refrigerant by using a scale.

CAUTION

After charging, open completely the both gas and liquid side valves. (If you operate the air conditioner with the service valves closed, the main parts of the outdoor unit may be damaged.)

When charging refrigerant, wear protective gear.

Do not charge refrigerant while operating the indoor unit.

Be careful with the upper fan on the outdoor unit when operating the air conditioner with the front cabinet panel detached.

Do not heat the refrigerant container with an extra heat source to charge refrigerant faster when the outdoor temperature is lower. This may result in an explosion or fire.

Take care when connecting the manifold gauge to the refrigerant charging port for heating, the refrigerant may leak.

After charging, close the valve of the refrigerant container quickly. The overall amount of refrigerant may be changed.
