Wiring work

Electrical work

Wiring work should be performed in accordance with related laws such as technical specification on electric installation or installation guide.

Copper cable should be used for wiring work and all the wirings or parts should be rated products.

Wiring work should be performed by a company certified by an electric power company.

Refer to the circuit diagram attached to the outdoor unit for detailed wiring work.

Wiring work should be performed after disconnecting main circuit breaker and Y-joint switch.

You must perform ground working 3. (Grounding resistance value should be less than 100Ω.) When ELB is installed, protective grounding resistance value can be applied. (When the ELB is 100mA, 0.1sec, protective grounding resistance value should be less than 250Ω at a place where electric danger is high and should be less than 500Ω at other places. )

Do not connect the ground wire to the gas pipe, water pipe, lightning rod, or telephone.

––Gas pipe: If the gas leaks, explosion or ignition may occur.

––Water pipe: If rigid vinyl pipe is used, there will be no grounding effect.

––Ground wire of telephone and lightning rod: The electric potential of ground wire may rise abnormally when lightening strikes.

The ELB for ground-fault protection should be combined with MCCB or fuse equipped load switch. In this case, you should use the one that has at least the same or larger fuse capacity or the rated current of MCCB.

Use the wires that comply with regulated specification and firmly connect to the terminal board. Then tighten it with the provided screws so that the terminal board (connecting cable locally procured, grounding terminal) cannot be moved by external force.

When connecting outdoor unit main power, be aware of the connection order for 3 phase (R, S, T, N).

Standard power cable length should be below 50m.

––If the length has to be over 50m, contact service center.

Fix a cable tube using a CD connector (wire conduit) and bushing at the knock-out hole of the outdoor unit.
