Routine Maintenance
You should inspect your equipment to make sure that all of the following
are true:
❑all the blank faceplates a re on
❑the fans are running
❑there are no obstructions to the ventilation on the concentrato r
❑the ONline Controller M odule and media modul e LEDs are registering
correctly
Replacing the Power Supply
Both the primary and backup power supplies in the ONline System
Concentrator are removed and installed in exactly the same manner. If a
power supply should fail and switch over auto matically to the backup
power supply (optional) you can replace the failed power supply while the
unit is operating - without disrupting network operation .
Caution: Improper installation of the power supply could
damage the power supply.
Follow the steps below to replace a pow er supply unit:
1. Switch Off the failed power supply, then unplug the power cord from
both the wall and from the back of the powe r supply.
2. Remove and save the four sc rews that attach the power supp ly to the
rear of the concentrator as shown in Figure 3-1.
