2Type the oscilloscope’s hostname or IP address in the web

browser.

3When the oscilloscope’s Web page is displayed, select

BrowserWeb Control, then select Remote Fr ont Panel. After a few

seconds the Remote Front Panel appears.

4Use the Main Menu and the Function Keys to control the

oscilloscope. This is a manual way to control an oscilloscope

which is normally controlled by a remote program.

NOTE If Java is not installed on your PC, you will be prompted to install the

SunMicrosyste ms Java Plug-in. This plug-in must be installed on the

controlling PC for Remote Front Panel operation.
