2 Pull out the port access cover and set it aside.

You won’t need the port cover for the rest of these instructions, but save it in case you ever remove the PCI card and need to cover the port again.

3Remove the card from its static-proof bag.

Hold the card by its edges to avoid touching the connector or any of the components on the card.
