6Set the cover panel aside.

To protect the metal shielding on the inside of the panel, lay down the panel so that the metal shielding faces up.

7Reconnect the power cord to the computer.

Connect the power cord to your computer and to an AC outlet. This helps protect the computer from damage caused by electrostatic discharge.

Plug the power cord into the power socket.
