Placed from Your Telephone

If your System Administrator has assigned a DATA button to your telephone, you can use it to place data calls for your associated data terminal.

Placing a Data Call

1Turn on your data terminal.

2Listen for telephone dial tone.

3If your data call is an inside call, go to Step 4. or

If your data call is an outside call, press DATA , then dial the data number.

4Listen for a high pitched answer tone.

5Press DATA within 15 seconds of hearing answer tone.

6Hang up.
