Starting Up

To start the Log Server, either double click the program icon, or key in the full path to the program on the command line. The first time your run it, a screen similar to the one below appears:

Note: 1. The MAC address of the Log Server computer must be specified in theANMS settings – see Log Server, page 130.

2.The Log Server requires the Microsoft Jet OLEDB 4.0 driver. See The Log Server program does not run., page 205 if the program doesn’t start.

The screen is divided into three components:

ŠA Menu Bar at the top

ŠA panel that will contain a list of KVM Over the NETTM units in the middle (see The Log Server Main Screen, page 171).

ŠA panel that will contain an Events List at the bottom

Each of the components is explained in the sections that follow.
