Chapter 9: Installation verification
S8500 LEDs
The Avaya S8500 Media Servers have five or six LEDs on the front and four LEDs on the back. The S8500B and S8500C have the same LEDs but in different locations. The S8500B can have an additional LED indicating activity on the optional floppy disk drive. The S8500C does not support a floppy disk drive.
The SAMP module has no LEDs.
Figure 13: S8500C front panel on page 78 and Figure 14: S8500B front panel on page 79 show the locations of the front-panel LEDs on the S8500C and S8500B.
