Problem:
The Setup Assistant c annot connect my Router to the Inter net�
solution:
If the Setup Assistant is not able to con nect the Router to the Internet,
please check the follow ing items:
1� Use the troubleshooting suggestions wit hin the Setup Assi stant�
If the troubleshooting screen does not open automaticall y, click
on the “Troubleshoot” but ton in the lower, right-h and corner of th e
Setup Assistant window�
2� If your ISP requires a use r name and passwo rd, make sure that yo u
have typed in your user name and passwor d correctly� Some u ser
names require that the ISP’s domain be at t he end of the name�
Example: “myname@myisp�co m”� The “@myisp�com” par t of the
user name may need to b e typed as well as your user nam e�
If you continue to have no I nternet connecti on, reference the section
titled “Manually Confi guring Network S ettings” (page 8 6 of this User
Manual) for alternate s etup method�
Problem:
• The Setup Assistant c ompleted install ation, but my web br owser
doesn’t work�
• I am unable to connect to the Internet� T he Router’s “Internet ” light
is off and the “Modem” light is blinking�
solution:
If you cannot connect to the Internet, the “Internet” light is off, and the
“Modem” light is blinkin g, the problem may be that your mode m and
Router are not connecte d properly�
1� Make sure the network c able between the modem and the Rou ter
is connected� We strongl y recommend usi ng the cable that was
supplied with your cabl e or DSL modem fo r this purpose� T he
cable should be conne cted at one end to the Router’s “Modem”
port, and at the othe r end to the netwo rk port on your modem�
2� Unplug the cable or DSL mo dem from its powe r source for thre e
minutes� After three m inutes, plug the mo dem back into its
power source� This may fo rce the modem to p roperly recogn ize
the Router�
3� Unplug the power to your Route r, wait 10 seconds, and then
reconnect the power� This will cause the Rou ter to reattempt
communication with the modem�
If the “Modem” light on t he Router is not li t after completi ng these steps,
please contact Belki n Technical Support �
4� Try shutting down and resta rting your compu ter�
