Problem:
• The Setup Assistant c ompleted install ation, but my web br owser
doesn’t work�
• I am unable to connect to the Internet� T he Router’s “Modem” l ight
is on and the “Internet ” light is blinkin g�
solution:
If you cannot connect to the Internet, the “Modem” light is o n, and the
“Internet” light is bli nking, the proble m may be that your c onnection type
may not match the ISP’s conn ection�
• If you have a “static IP ad dress” connectio n, your ISP must a ssign
you the IP address, sub net mask, and gate way address� Pleas e
refer to the section en titled “Alternate Setu p Method” for deta ils on
changing this setting�
• If you have a “PPPoE” connec tion, your ISP will assign you a user
name and password and sometimes a ser vice name� Make su re the
Router connection ty pe is configured to PPPoE and the set tings
are entered properly� Ple ase refer to the s ection entitled “Alte rnate
Setup Method” for detai ls on changing thi s setting�
• You may need to configure you r Router to meet t he specific
requirements of your IS P� To search our Knowledge Ba se for
ISP-specific issues, go to: http://web�belkin�co m/support and t ype
in “ISP”

solution:
If the “Modem” light is b linking and the “I nternet” light is solid, but
you are unable to acces s the Internet, th ere may be third-p arty firewall
software installed o n the computer at tempting to acces s the Internet�
Examples of third-par ty firewall sof tware are ZoneA larm, BlackICE PC
Protection, McAfee Pers onal Firewall, and N orton Personal Firewall�
If you do have firewall sof tware installed on your computer, ple ase make
sure that you properly configure it� You can determine if the f irewall
software is preventing Internet access by temporarily tu rning it off� If,
while the firewall is dis abled and Intern et access works p roperly, you
will need to change the firewall settings to function prop erly when it is
turned on�
Please refer to the inst ructions provide d by the publisher of your
firewall software for instructions on c onfiguring the f irewall to allow
Internet access�
If you are still unable to access the Inter net after disab ling any firewall
software, please con tact Belkin Technica l Support�
