Configuring Snooping
| Command | Purpose |
Step 1 |

Router(config)# interface | Defines the interface configuration for the | |
| destination (test) port. | |
|

Step 2 |
|
|
Shuts down the destination port. | ||
Step 3 |
|
|
Defines a snoop source port and its snoop | ||
| direction {receive transmit both} | direction. You must issue separate snoop |
|
| interface commands for each source port. |
Step 4 |

|
Reenables the interface. When you bring the | ||
|
| destination port back up, snooping mode is fully |
|
| functional. |
Step 5 |
|
|
Returns to privileged EXEC mode. | ||
