Theupper portion of the blade projectsup through the
table and issurroundedby an insert calledthe throat

The slidingmitertableaseemblyisusedforcrosscutting
operatfens.Themiterfenceiseasilyadjustedtocutwood
atan angle by looseningthe adjustingclamp,setting the
fenceto the miter scale, and retightening the clamp. The
stlding mitertable, which restson a basemounted on the
rails,can be repositfehedalong the milsfor wide work. _t
canbe reversed so the projectingbase is inthe backand
can bemoved fromthe left side to the right sideas need-
ed.With _a miter fence removed, the miter table offers
additions]support"for other operationssuch as ripping.
The ripfence is usedto positionwork for lengthwise cuts.
A scale on the front rail showsthe distance between the
ripfence and the blade.
it isvery importantto use the blade guardassemblyfor all
through-sewingoperations.The blade guardassembly
includes:rivingknife/spreader/splitter, anti-kickback
pawls,and plastic bladeguard.
The saw features areceptacle on the rightsideof the
cabinet that permitsuse of accessories. Use onlyacces-
sories that arelisted for usewith this tool When usinga
listedaccessory, unplugthe saw motor cord and usa the
receptacleand the saw'-, power switch to operatethe
accessory.
POWER SWITCH
This sawis equipped with apower switch that has a
built-in locking feature.This featureis intendedto prevent
unauthorizedandpossible hazardoususeby chUdrenand
others.
TO TURN YOUR SAW ON:
With the switch kay inserted into theswitch, tiltthe
switch bu_tonto turn ON ( I ),
TO TURN YOUR SAW OFF:
Pressthe switch button down to turnOFF ( O).
TO LOCK YOUR SAW:
Pressthe switch button down.
Removethe switch kay from the switchand storein a
safe,secure location.
Am, WARNING: Atwaysremove the switchkay when

Inthe event of a power f_zLlure,turn the switchOFF
( O ) 8.ridremove the key.This action will preventthe
