• Unptugthe router.
Placeyour router upsidedown on aworkbench.
Removethe subbase screws and the subbasefrom
yourrouter.
NOTE:The subbase is mounted permanentlyonsome
routereand shouldnot be removed.
Selectthe screwsneeded foryourparticular router.For
consumerreuters, usethe 10-32 x 3/4 in. screws.For
eommerc'la_Pouters,usethe5/16-18 screws.
Positionrouterupside down under the routerextension
tabie.The router label shouldbe facingthe front ofthe
table.
Atignthe holesin the table withthe holes in yourrouter.
Feed thescrews throughthe tableand intothe router.
Tightenallscrews with a screwdriver.
Selectthe correctsizethroatplate for the sizeof the
routerbit.Align the tab on the throat platewith the slot
inthe muter extension and snapinplace. Make sure
thethroat plateis firmly seated belowthe _able surface.
Recheckthe router bit to make sure it willnot s_ke the
throat plate.

Adjustthe guard/dustcover so that it will notcorns in
conta_ withthe workplaceor cutter duringa cutting
operation.

TO INSTALL BIT AND THROAT PLATE
Therouter throat plates areincluded to assure nomore
than1/4 in.eisarance between the cutter and the opening
inthe throat plate. Use the correct throat plate.Do not use
a routerbitsmaller than I/4 in, or largerthan2 in.
To installthe routerbit, fotlow the instructionsinthe
operator'smanua_thatcame with yourrouter.
