CAUTION: Towork:properly,the saw blade teeth
must pointdown toward the frontof t'nesaw.Failure
to doso could cause damage to thesaw blade,the
saw,or theworkpisce.
Lowerthe saw blade andremove the throat p_te.
Make surethe bevel Locking lever is securely pushed to
the left. Raise the sawblade to its fu[I height by turning
the height/bevel adjusting hsndwheel clockwise.
ToLoosen the blade.
Using';hesmall blade wrench, place theflat open and
onthe fiats on the arborshat'_.
Insertthe closed end of the large blade wrenchover
the hexnut Holding bothwrenchesfirmly, pull the
largerwrenchforward to the front of the machine.
To*dghtenthe blade:
Usingthe srnaflbradswrench, place the flatopen end
(rite the _(atsonthe arbor shaft.
Insert the closed end of the large blade wrench over
thehex nut. Holding bothwrenches firmly,pushthe
{argerwrench to the back of the machine.Make sure
theblade nut is securelytightened. Do notovsrtighten.
NOTE: Arbor shaft has left hand threads.
Check all clearancesforfree blade rotation. See To Set
the Scale to the Blade in the AdjustmentSection. In
cuttingoperations,the scale wil} beset to theside of the
bladewhere the cut will be measured andmade.

Removethe slidingrofter table from the storage area
bypulling the miter lockingclampsaway from the saw
¢ablnst
Install thesliding mitertable assembly over the front
andrear rails. Check that it slides easilyon the rsi[s.
Push both frontmiter looking clamps down evenlyon
eachsideto secure, Repeat for both rear miter locking
_arnps.
NOTE: Do not force miterlook}rig clamps down.
Tightenonly to f_t "seated" position.
Removethe miter fence from themiter fence storage
onthe side of the saw cabinet.
Toinstall themiter fence to the slidingmiter table, Ices-
en theadjustingclamp knob so the bolt hasenough
olsaranoato slide _nthe table slot,

Mountthe miter fence to the mitertable by installing
the locater pin(below the miter fence) into holes =A",
"B", =C",or "D". (Holes "A" and =D" are closest1o the
b}ade).Atthe same time, placethe attachment boltin
thes_ot.
NOTE: Holes =A" and"D" should be used for short
piecesof wood and holes"B" and "C" should be used
for long piecesof wood.
