The mitertable elides allowingthe operatorto elide the
workplsceacross the saw, A miter slidelock is mounted
onthe front of the miter tableto lock it in place.Themiter
slidelock is placed in aslot on the baseto alignthe miter
tablawith the h'ont edge ofthe saw table. The sliding
mitertable shouldbe locked for any cut inwhich the
operatorprefersa fixedtable.
Tolock the miter table with the baseprojectingto the
front,place miter slide lockin the backsloton the
base.
Tolockthe miter table with the base projectingto the
back, place miter slide lockin the front slot on the
base.

The square relationshipbetweenthe bladeand themiter
fence as it travels theentire distancefrom thefrontto the
rearof the miter table baseduringa cut isvery important
for m_ng preciseand accurate cuts.The slidingmiter
table assemblyhasbeen preset at the factory. However,
misallgnment duringshippingorrequirementsfor very
preciseand accurate cuts may requirerce[ignment.
Toavoid unnecessarysetups arid ad.iuatments,we
suggestthat you checkthese setups carefullywith a fram-
ing square andmake practice cuts inscrap wood before
making finishcutsin good workpisces.
NOTE: Followthegeneral ruleof measuringtwice and
cuttingonce.
Do not loosenany screws.Once screws havebeen loos-
ened,settings must be reset.
Two basicchecks should be made before usingthe miter
table"(1) themiter base must be parallelto the bladeas
the table slides fTomthe front to back, and(2) the miter
fence mustbe squareto the bladewhen set at exactly
zero(0") on the rafter table scats.
NOT_ Themiter tablehas adjus_ant screwsfor squar-
ingmiter fence tc blade and maintainingscalesettings
when miterbaseadjustments are rsc,uired.Thesechecks
and adjus't_entsare exp_ined in step-by-step procedures
inthe Opera#onsectionend depend on each other.

Fitthe tabs on the back of the accessory table intothe
rearrail.
Posi_onthe sloton the undersideof the accesaory
