Properinstallationof the blade guardassemblymeans
that the saw blade and riving knifeare in alignment.
ALWAYSalign the rivingknife tothe saw b/adepriorto
turningon the table saw.
Lowerthe blade andremove thethroat plate.
Make surethe bevel looldng leveris securelypushed to
the(eft. Raise the saw bladeto its full heightby turning
theheight/bevel adjustinghandwheel clockwise.
Loosenthe two hex nutsenoughto slide theriving
knife down between the shims.Do not remove the
he]<nuts. Partiallyretighten the hex nuts,Check the
blade and r(vin9knife alignment, _nd mska surethe
rlvingknifeclears the blade by 1/8 in.
Alignthe blade and rivingknife as shown. Blade align-
merit with the riving knife canbe adjusted for diffarard
blade widths.Refer 1o To Cheek, Replace, or Adjust
the Riving Knife and Blade Guard Assembly in the
AdjusO'nentSection, Check the blade guardeseambiy
for clearancesand free movemanL
NOTE: Ifthe rivingknife is not positionedcorrectly
lwtth blade up)it could contact the saw table when the
blade is lowered znd rastJ'ictbladeelevation.
Tightenhex nutssecurely.
Lowerthe blade and reinstaflthe throatplate. Tighten
thescrews securely.
