The table sew has been adjusted at the factory for mak-
ingveryaccurate cuts. However, some of the components
mighthave been jarred out of alignmentduringshipping.
ALso,overa period oft'rne, rsediustmentwill probably
become necessary due towear.

practiceis to check your setupscarefullywith a fram-
ingsquare and make practice cuts in scrapwood before
making finishcuts in goodworkpiaces. Do notstart any
adjustments untilyou have checked with a squareand
madetest cuts tobe sure adjustments are needed.
TO REPLACE THE BLADE
See Figures57 - 59.
Unplugthe saw.
Lowerthe saw blade, raisetheblade guard, and
removethe throet plate.
Makesure the bevel locking leveris securelypushed to
the felt.Raise the sewbladeto itsfull heightby turning
thehaight/beve_ adjusting handwheelclockwise.
Usingthe smallbladewrench, insertthe flat open and
intothe fiats on the arbor shaft.
Insertthe closed andof the large bladewrench over the
hax nut. Holdingbo_.hwrenchesli_nly, pull_.h_larger
wrenchforward to the f1"ontof the machine.Make sure
the bladenut is securely tightened. De not overtighten.
NOTE:Arbor shaft hasleft hand threads.
Check allcrearancesfor freebladerotation.See To Set
the Scale to the Blade in thissection. In cutting opera-
tions,the scarewilt be set to the sideof the blade where
thecut will be measured and made.

Toreplace the blade with an accessoryblade, follow the

Placethenew blade on the arbor shaft (theteeth

Placethe blade washerand the blade nut over the
bladearbor.Be sure the domeside of the blade
washer f_cas ou_.from_a blade and that all items ere
snugagainst thearbor housing,13ghtensecurely.
Rotatethe blade by hand to make sure it turns freely.
Reinstallthethroat plate.
NOTE:Seaurelytighten throat plate screws. Do not al-
lowthe throat plate to bow up above the table surface.
