Make sure the saw isproperlysecured to awork
surfaceto avoidtipping from the weightof a large
panel.
_k WARNING: Make sure the blade guard is
lowered over blade and is working properly to
preventpossible injury.
Placea supportthe same heightas the top ofthe
sawtable behind the saw for the cut work. Add
supportstothe sides as needed.
Dependingonthe shape ofthe panel, use the rip
fence ormiter gage. If the panel istoo large to use
eitherthe ripfence or the miter gage, it istoo large
forthis saw.
_l, WARNING: Never makp freehand cuts(cuts
withoutthe miter gage or ripfence), which can
resultin seriousinjury.
MAKING A NON-THROUGH CUT

Thisis the only type ofcut made withoutthe blade
guard.
,_, WARNING: Unplugthe saw while removing or
replacingthe blade guardto prevent accidental
startingand injury.
Liftthe bladeguard out of the way.
Adjustthe blade angle andheight by releasingthe
bevellock handle and turningthe heightand bevel
handwheels.Reset the bevel lockhandle.
Removethe riving knife and guard assemblyas
shown.Take out the throat plate by removingthe
screwwitha phillipsscrewdriver.Be sure to rein-
stallit before movingto the next step.
