turn offthe saw, removethe switchkey, and
unplugthe saw before working on the table saw.
Removesawdust from the rails, top surface, and
insideof saw frequently.
Clean plastic partswith asoft damp cloth. Do not
useany strongsolvents.
_, WARNING: Do not at any time let brakefluids,
gasoline,petroleum-based products,penetrating
oils,etc. contact plastic pads. They contain
chemicalsthat can damage, weaken or destroy
plastic.
Pedodicallyclean the table, rails,and dp fence with
gumand pitchremover. Do not allow pitch to
accumulateon the saw.
Applyathin coat of pastewax to the tabletop so
thewood slides easilywhile cutting.
Regularlycheck all nuts, bolts, screws, and belts
for tightnessand condition.Make surethe throat
plateis in good condition.
MOTOR /ELECTRICAL
Frequentlyvacuum or blow out any sawdustfrom
themotor.

damagedin anyway, have it replaced immedi-
atelyby a qualifiedservice technicianat a Sears
storeor repair center. Failureto do so could
resultin serious personalinjury.

Craftsmanreplacement pads. Reassemble
exactlyas originallyassembled.
Thissaw has been lubricatedat thefactory priorto
shipment.Afterextended use,you shouldinspect,
clean,and lubricatethe areas shown inthe drawing.
Cleanbefore lubricatingwitha solvent recommended
forgum and pitch removal. Lubricate with SAE no. 20
orno. 30 engine oil.
