Makeatest cut on scrap wood. From thefront ofthe
caw.push the wood to the blade with the miter gage.

loweredover blade and is workingpropedy to
preventpossible injury.
Checkthat the blade isat thecorrect heightfor the
workpiece.To change theheighL turn the height
handwheel.
To set the wood angle, loosenthe mitergage knob,
setthe angle withthe indicatoron the mitergage,
thenretightenmiter gage knob.
Placeasupport the same height as the top of the
sawtable behind the saw for the cut work.
Make surethe wood is nottouchingthe blade
beforeturning onthe saw.' Insertthe key and lift
theswitch tothe ON position. Letthe blade build
upto fullspeed beforemovingthe mitergage to
feed theworkpiece intothe blade.
Ho_dtheworkfirmly against the miter gage aod
pushthe miter gage to feed the work intothe blade.
When the workiscompleted, pressthe switch off
andremove the key,

Try outthis cut on apiece ofscrap wood before
cuttingyourworkpiece.

Raisethe rip fence handle and remove the rip
fence.
Set the bladeangle by loosening the bevel lock
handleand turning the bevel handwheel.Retighten
the bevel lockhandle.
Set mitergage to 0" ifneeded. Make sure miter
gageknob is securelytightened.
Placea support the same height as the top of the
sawtable behind the saw for the cut work.
Makesure the wood isclear of the bladebefore
turningonthe saw. Insertthe key and liftthe switch
to the ON position.Let the bladebuild up tofull
speedbefore feeding the wood intothe blade with
themiter gage.
Holdthe workfirmlyagainst the mitergage and
pushthe mitergage to feed the work intothe blade.
When thework is completed, press the switchoff
andremove the key.
