8Removing the Optical Drive

Prerequisites

1Remove the back cover. See "Removing the Back Cover" on page 19.

Procedure

1Remove the screws that secure the optical-drive assembly to the computer base.

2Gently lift the optical-drive assembly from the computer base and disconnect the power and data-cable connector from the optical-drive assembly.
