Installing an

Interface Card

Warning

To prevent electric shock and avoid damaging the printer, do not install an interface card when the printer is turned on or connected to an electrical outlet.

If you have the RS 5100 or another RIP, you connect it to the printer using the built-in parallel interface. For connectivity without a RIP, you can install one of the following cards:

•EpsonNet Internal Print Server (10BaseT / 100BaseTX) — C823632A

•EPSON FireWire Interface Card (Type B IEEE 1394) — C823722

Before you install the card, see the documentation that came with it for setup information. Then follow these steps:

1. Make sure the printer is turned off and the power cord is unplugged.
