Text | Description | |
|
| |
Enable DHCP server | Select this checkbox to enable the DHCP
| server. | |
| Note: If you already have a DHCP server on | |
| your network, you should disable this feature in | |
| the Ericsson W3x. | |
|
| |
IP address range | The IP addresses that can be assigned to
from: | LAN/WLAN clients are collected from a
| predefined range of available IP addresses. | |
IP address range to: | ||
The preconfigured range – from 92.168.1.2 to
| 192.168.1.100 is suitable for most local | |
| networks. | |
|
| |
Lease Time [sec]: | The DHCP server uses the concept of a
| “lease”, that is the amount of time that a given | |
| IP address will be valid for a specific device. If | |
| the lease time expires and the device is still | |
| connected, the lease is automatically renewed. | |
| The preconfigured lease time is 7200 seconds | |
| (2 hours) and a valid value must be within the | |
| range 60 and 2147483647 seconds. | |
|
|
Note: If you want to configure a connected device with a static IP address, make sure that the address is outside the DHCP server IP address range.
Before changing any of the DHCP server settings, read the following:
•The DHCP server IP address range has to be on the same subnet as the LAN IP address on the Ericsson W3x.
•The DHCP server IP address range must not include the LAN IP address on the Ericsson W3x.
•If port forwarding rules have been created, those settings have to be removed before changing the DHCP server IP address range. For more information, see section 3.7.3 – Port Forwarding.
To change the DHCP server settings, type the new values in the corresponding fields and click Apply to save the settings.
