Picture settings

After first installation or after resetting to the ex-factory settings the values in the menu <Picture> are set to the defaults. You can individually change these values as described below, depending on your personal preference, the location of the LCD/plasma TV and the light incidence associated with the location.

For AV sources (TV, CVBS, YC, YUV, SCART1, SCART2, HDMI)

S Press the [MENU] button to open the main menu.

S With the button [Y] or [B] select the <Picture> menu and press the button ["].

Contrast

S Select <Contrast> [Y] / [B].

S Press the button [ "], the contrast is increased.

S Press the button [ A ], the contrast is reduced.

Brightness

S Select <Brightness> [Y] / [B].

S Press button [ " ], the picture becomes brighter.

S Press button [ A ], the picture becomes darker.

Sharpness

S Select <Sharpness> [Y] / [B].

S Press button [ " ], the picture becomes sharper.

S Press button [ A ], the picture becomes softer.

Color

S Select <Color> [Y] / [B].

S Press button [ " ] and the colour saturation is in- creased.

S Press the button [ A ] and the colour saturation is reduced.

Tint

Colour setting - for NTSC only!

Color Balance

S Select <Colour balance> [Y] / [B].

You can select one of three possibilities: normal, cold and warm [A] / ["].

Picture adjust

S Select <Picture adjust> [Y] / [B].

You can select one of three possibilities: normal, light and dark [A] / ["].

Filter (basic setting for picture sharpness) Only for CVBS, YC!

S Select <Filter> [Y] / [B].

You can select one of three possibilities: normal, soft and intensive [A] / ["].

DNC (Dynamic Noise Control) Not for HDMI!

Weak TV signals or poor video signals can generate disturbing picture noise. DNC dynamically adapts the effect of the digital noise suppression to the picture content.

S Select <DNC> [Y] / [B].

S Select a value between 0 and 10 [A] / ["].

Photo CD

Not for TV or HDMI!

The menu option <Photo CD> is especially for the re- production of still pictures, e.g. photo CD’s or picture CD’s.

S To close the menu press the red button.
