Viewing direction

DDespite the large viewing angle the LCD/plasma TV offers the best performance with a directly vertical view- ing direction. Align the LCD/plasma TV with the most frequently used viewing direction.

Location

DLight reflection

Avoid locating the unit opposite windows or other light sources.

DAccess to the mains input

The mains input and mains switch should be easily accessible at all times.

DAir supply

To ensure sufficient ventilation, the supply air and exhaust air openings of the LCD/plasma TV must be kept absolutely free.

If installed in an alcove, keep the minimum distances large enough to allow sufficient ventilation of the LCD/ plasma TV.

LCD TV: A = 5 cm; B = 10 cm

Plasma TV: A = 10 cm; B = 20 cm

Ensure the following minimum spacings for wall moun- ting:

LCD TV: A = 10 cm; B = 20 cm

Plasma TV: A =20 cm; B = 30 cm.

DAmbient temperature

For safe and reliable operation the ambient temperature must be between 5 °C and 35 °C.

Installation

DTwo persons are required to remove the LCD/plasma TV from its packing. Never lift the LCD/plasma TV alone. An attempt to lift the LCD/plasma TV alone will put your health at risk.

DPlace the LCD/plasma TV on a stable and horizontal base. The subsurface must be firm and capable of bear- ing a static load.

DBefore installation make sure that the LCD/plasma TV is switched off and that the mains cable and signal cable are unplugged.

Wall mounting

DThe plasma TV must be mounted on vertical walls only.

DBefore mounting the set, check whether the loadbearing capacity of the wall is suitable for 3-times the weight of the LCD/plasma TV (for the weight see page 31 ”Techni- cal specifications”). If in doubt, seek the advice of a qualified installer.

DBefore installation make sure that the LCD/plasma TV is switched off and that the mains cable and signal cable are unplugged.

DTwo people are required for the mounting work.

DTurn the LCD/plasma TV so that the front side (screen) is pointing downwards and place it carefully on a com- pletely flat and firm surface.

DLoosen the 6 screws (M4x10) in the table feet and remove them.
