Playing audio and video files with the Windows Media Player

The Windows Media Player can play several types of audio and video files, including WAV, MIDI, MP3, AU, AVI, and MPEG formats. For more information about using the Windows Media Player, click Help.

To play a file using the Windows Media Player:

1 In Windows XP, click Start, All Programs, then click Windows Media Player. The Windows Media Player opens.

In Windows 2000, click Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, then click Windows Media Player. The Windows Media Player opens.
