Battery Gauge

The following battery levels may be displayed on the status screen, in Live View, in Playback, and when the camera is connected to a computer or printer.

IconDescription

Battery has 65-100 percent battery life remaining.

Battery has 35-65 percent battery life remaining.

Battery has 10-35 percent battery life remaining.

Battery has less than 10 percent battery life remaining. Camera will power down soon. Live View is disabled (see Note below).

Camera is operating on AC power (with no battery installed).

Animated Camera is operating on AC power and is charging

NOTE The battery gauge is most accurate after a few minutes of use. When the camera is turned off, the battery recovers and the initial gauge reading when the camera is turned on again may not be as accurate as that obtained after a few minutes of use.
