To change the shooting mode, press the Mode button on the top of the camera until the desired shooting mode appears in the status screen. Alternatively, you can press the Mode button
just once and then use the | buttons to scroll to the desired |
shooting mode. The following table describes each of the shooting mode settings on the camera.
Setting Description
Auto The camera automatically selects the best
Action The camera uses fast shutter speeds and higher ISO
speeds to stop motion. Use Action mode to capture sporting events, moving cars, or any scene where you want to stop the action.
Landscape The camera combines a higher
Portrait The camera combines a smaller
background, with lower saturation, contrast, and
sharpness for a more natural effect. Use Portrait mode for pictures that have one or more people as their primary focal point.
Beach & This mode lets you capture bright, outdoor scenes and Snow balance out harsh lighting.
