Using Digital Imaging Features

l

Setting

Description

Average

The camera uses the entire photo area to

calculate the exposure. Use this setting

when you want everything in the photo to

be used equally to calculate the exposure,

for example, when you are taking pictures

of a mountain scene.

Center-weighted

The camera uses a large area in the center

(default setting)

of the photo area to calculate the exposure.

Use this setting when the subject is in the

center of the frame, so exposure is based

more on the subject than the surroundings.
