PCMCIA Subsystem

The system board has two 68-pin

PCMCIA

(Personal

Computer

Memory Card International Association) slots that support three

different

types

of

PC

cards: Type I,

Type

II,

and

Type III

PC cards.

The Type I and Type II PC

cards

can

be

installed

into

either

the

upper

or

the

lower

slot,

or

into

both

slots

at the

same

time. The

Type

III

PC

card,

however,

must

be

installed

only in the lower slot.

The Type II PC card cannot

be

used

in

the

upper

slot

when

a

Type

III PC card is used.

The PCMCIA slots are designed according to the following PCMCIA
